Don Doan Dash – 5K / 10K
Don Doan Dash offers 5K and 10K races around Professor's Lake in Brampton on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The start and finish are at Professor's Lake Recreation Centre, 1660 North Park Road.
The course begins in the recreation centre parking lot, follows North Park Drive to a turnaround at Pleasant Valley Place, then returns and continues via Panda Lane, Porteous Circle and the lakeside path before rejoining Professors Lake Parkway toward the finish. The route is mostly flat with a few small hills. Roads will remain open during the event, so intersections must be crossed with caution. Volunteers and first aid will be available along the route.
Two water stations are located at the 2.5K and 5K marks. Washrooms and changing facilities are available inside the recreation centre. Walkers are welcome and should line up behind runners; a two hour time limit applies. Strollers are allowed near the back of the start area; pets and roller blades are not permitted.
Race kits can be picked up at the Running Room in Mississauga on the Saturday and at Professors Lake on race morning. Kits include a bib, an integrated timing chip and a technical shirt. A bag drop area is provided inside the recreation centre.
All finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women and draw prizes take place after the race. The event supports ALS Canada and presented a $7,000 cheque in 2024. Photos and videos from the event may be used by the organizers; requests for removal can be submitted.
