Don Doan Dash 5K and 10K
Don Doan Dash takes place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, with the start and finish at Professor’s Lake Recreation Centre, 1660 North Park Road, Brampton, Ontario L6S 4B4. Two distances are offered:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The course starts in the recreation centre parking lot, continues onto North Park Drive to a turnaround at Pleasant Valley Place, then loops around Professor’s Lake via Panda Lane, Porteous Circle, the lake path, Professors Lake Parkway and Pepperwood Place before returning to the finish area. The route is mainly flat with a few small hills. Roads will not be closed for the event, so participants should stay on paths and sidewalks and exercise caution when crossing intersections.
There are two water stations at the 2.5 km and 5 km marks. Volunteers and first aid will be available along the route. Washrooms and changing facilities in the recreation centre are open, and an indoor bag drop area is provided. A two hour time limit applies. Walkers are welcome but should line up behind runners. Strollers are permitted near the rear of the start; pets and roller blades are not allowed.
Race kits include a bib with integrated timing chip and a technical shirt. Race kit pickup is available the day before and on race morning. All finishers receive a medal; awards are given to the top three men and top three women and draw prizes are held post race. The event supports ALS Canada and made a significant donation in 2024.
