The race has a maximum registration cap of 400 entrants, with a separate cap of 250 for the 5K and 150 for the 10K. A free technical shirt is available for the first 300 registrants. The event supports ALS Canada and presented a $7,000 cheque from the 2024 race.
Course and logistics
The course begins and finishes at Professor's Lake Recreation Centre, 1660 North Park Drive, and follows a loop around Professor's Lake and nearby streets, including North Park Drive, Panda Lane, Porteous Circle, Professors Lake Parkway and Pepperwood Place. The route is described as flat with a few small hills. Roadways will not be closed for the race; participants must stay on paths and sidewalks and use caution at intersections. Two water stations are located at the 2.5K and 5K markers. First aid and volunteers will be available along the route. Washrooms and changing facilities are available inside the recreation centre. A bag-drop area will be provided indoors.
