DoHo Great Aloha Run 5K
The DoHo Great Aloha Run 5K is a charity road race in Downtown Honolulu contested over 5K (3.1 miles). Net proceeds support health and human service organizations across Hawaiʻi. The event traces its origins to the mid 1980s and, since the first race in 1985, has reported nearly 750,000 participants and close to $20 million raised for more than 200 nonprofit organizations.
Registrations are offered by age category and price tiers. Keiki entries (ages 5 to 12) and adult entries (ages 13 and up) have distinct early, regular, and late pricing windows. A portion of each entry donation is tax deductible; $17 of the entry donation is tax deductible. Registered participants receive a finisher shirt, race bib and pins, and refreshments at the finish.
Course support and amenities include one water and medical station at Beretania and Alapaʻi plus roving medical personnel and a main medical triage area near the distribution zone. Portable restrooms are placed at the start line, the Beretania and Alapaʻi water station, and the Wilcox Park finish reunion area. Accessible discounted parking is available at select locations including Pickles at Forte, 1032 Fort Street, with many municipal lots opening at 6:00 a.m.
Participants who cannot finish the course may use a sag wagon. After the finish at Hotel and Fort Street, runners pass through a restricted distribution area for refreshments and a finisher shirt before moving to Wilcox Park for a reunion area with food vendors, entertainment, and the awards ceremony.
