Event overview
The Dogwood Classic 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 2, 2026 in Knoxville, TN at the west parking lot, 2250 Cherokee Boulevard. The course is USATF certified and is a loop beginning and ending at the west parking lot. Packet pickup is available early on April 29 at Runner’s Market in Bearden and on race day at the venue. Post-race refreshments will be provided in the event tent. Awards are given to the top three overall, age-group winners, and specialty categories, including Masters (fastest person age 40 and above), Grandmasters (age 50 and above), and Senior Grandmasters (age 60 and above).

Registration, policies and race rules
Registration has tiered pricing: Early Bird through January 31 ($25), February 1–April 8 ($30), April 9–26 ($35), and race day ($40). Ages 17 and under have a reduced in-person fee until April 15, then higher late pricing; no refunds or bib transfers. Unisex t-shirts are offered to registrants; the shirt order is placed April 22 and shirts after April 21 are distributed while supplies last. A "No Tee, Plant a Tree" option is available. The event is part of the 2026 Grand Prix Team Competition; Grand Prix eligibility requires Knoxville Track Club membership and volunteering at three KTC races. Roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The 5K course closes in 1 hour and 15 minutes and the use of headphones is discouraged.
