Event details
The Dogwood Classic 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 2, 2026 in Knoxville, TN at the west parking lot, 2250 Cherokee Boulevard. The event includes the following distances and options:

- Kids Mile
- 5K - virtual
- Kid's Mile - virtual
The 5K course is USATF certified and is a loop that begins and ends at the west parking lot on Cherokee Boulevard. Post-race refreshments will be available in the event tent. Roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The 5K course closes after 1 hour and 15 minutes. The host discourages the use of headphones at events.
Registration and logistics
Early packet pick-up is available on April 29 at Runner’s Market in Bearden; day-of packet pick-up is offered on race morning. Unisex t-shirts are provided to registrants; pre-registered entrants through April 21 are guaranteed a shirt. Registrations after April 21 receive shirts while supplies last. A "No Tee, Plant a Tree" option is offered during registration.
Entry fees follow tiered pricing: early bird until January 31 is $25, standard registration is $30 (February 1 - April 8), late registration is $35 (April 9 - April 26), and race day entry is $40. Youth pricing applies to ages 17 and under with an earlier deadline. Awards are given to top overall finishers, age-group winners, and specialty categories. The event is part of the 2026 Grand Prix team competition; Grand Prix eligibility requires Knoxville Track Club membership and volunteering at three KTC races.
