Doggone Dash

Doggone Dash is a community running event at Mills River Park in Mills River, North Carolina, organized by the North Carolina Mountain Trail Runners (NCMTR) in support of The Street Dog Coalition. The event includes a looped park course described as flat and fast with multiple opportunities to see other participants as they complete laps.

Event logistics note that parking will be available on site and supported by the Town of Mills River. Timing for the event is manual; bibs will not be chipped and are used for visual confirmation of finish positions. Bibs should be worn visibly for the duration of the event. Registration is managed through an online platform and has specific pricing tiers and a registration deadline the day before the event.

The Street Dog Coalition’s mission is to provide free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. NCMTR is a member-supported non-profit focused on trail advocacy, trail maintenance, and community events, and is part of the RUN828 Foundation.
