Dog Days of Summer 5K
The Dog Days of Summer 5K is a running race on August 8, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The event takes place at Tidal Creek Brewhouse, 3421 Knoles St, and benefits South Paw Rescue, a local dog rescue organization.
The distance is 5K. Registration opens on February 24, 2026 and closes on April 10, 2026. The registration fee is $33.00.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Black Dog Running Company, 1600 Farrow Pkwy Unit B-1, Myrtle Beach, and on race day at Tidal Creek Brewhouse. Runners are advised to collect their race materials at one of these locations.
Awards are presented in overall male and female categories for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Awards are also given in age divisions: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Award recipients must be present to receive their prize; awards will not be mailed.
Parking is available in the lot directly across from Tidal Creek Brewhouse. Post-race breakfast specials are available from Tidal Creek Brewhouse following the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
