Dog Days 5K
Dog Days 5K takes place on July 11, 2026, at Lake Bloomington in Hudson, Illinois, with the start and finish next to Green Gables. The course follows a portion of the Inner-Loop and covers 3.1 miles.
There are two entry options listed: a standard 5K and a 5K without a shirt. Registration opens February 1, 2026, and closes April 11, 2026. The standard entry fee is $30.00 and the no-shirt entry is $25.00. No discounts apply beginning July 1 and no race-day discounts will be offered.
The course is on asphalt roads; participants are advised to use caution because the course is not closed to traffic. Headsets and strollers are not allowed during the race. Two water stops are provided along the route.
Packet pickup options include an early pickup to be determined and race-day pickup at the race site from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 8 & Under; 9-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-70; 71 and Over.
