Docklands 5K
The Docklands 5K is a non profit road race organised by Crusaders Athletic Club in Dublin. The event covers a 5k flat loop through the Docklands area on Thursday, July 9. All proceeds are used to improve Crusaders AC facilities and to promote sport, health and wellbeing in the local community.
Entry is open to individual runners and to teams of three. Team categories include male only, female only and mixed. The minimum age for entry is 16 and online entries are capped at 2,000 participants. Entry fees are stated as €25 per individual and €75 per three person team; a higher fee applies for later walk in entries.
The course starts on the South Docks near Lime Street and the Samuel Beckett Bridge, runs to the Matt Talbot Bridge and along the North Quay to the 3Arena, then returns across the Matt Talbot Bridge to finish at Capital Dock on Sir John Rogerson's Quay, approximately 750 metres beyond the start line. Race numbers include a timing chip for chip timing. A designated baggage drop is provided at Unit 9 Benson Street next to Capital Dock Square. Water is available at the finish and prize categories include cash prizes for top finishers and awards for age categories and teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
