Do Better 4 Steve Fearless 5k and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
The Do Better 4 Steve Fearless 5k is an annual athletic event held in Ambler, Pennsylvania. Taking place on Halloween, the event encourages participants to wear costumes while completing the course. The event features two distinct distances:
- 5 km
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run (for ages 12 and under)
The course begins at the Wissahickon High School track and transitions into the surrounding neighborhood. The route includes a section on the Lower Gwynedd Trail, which consists primarily of crushed limestone and some pavement. After leaving the trail, the path follows the sidewalk along Dager Road before returning to the high school track for the finish.
Participants have access to indoor restrooms and refreshments. The event includes pre-race and post-race entertainment provided by a DJ, and free photos are available. The 5k race is professionally timed by Pretzel City Sports. In addition to the timed race, the 1 mile fun run is specifically organized for younger participants, who receive goodie bags.
Awards for the 5 km race are presented to the first overall male and female finishers. Recognition is also given to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from 13 and under to 70 plus. The event is held rain or shine.
