DLS 5k & 1-Mile for Lewy Body Dementia
The 3rd Annual DLS 5k & 1 Mile for Lewy Body Dementia takes place in Arlington, Virginia on August 22, 2026. Proceeds will benefit the Lewy Body Dementia Association. The race courses are out-and-back and mostly flat along the W&OD Trail. The start and finish are on the trail at Bon Air Park & Rose Gardens, 850 N Lexington Street, Arlington, VA 22205.
All finishers will receive a t-shirt, though organizers note they cannot guarantee a shirt for registrations after July 22. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers. Timing will be done manually using a race clock and bibs; chip timing is not used. A kids' dash of approximately 300 meters is included and participants in that dash receive a prize at their finish.
The event accommodates walkers, joggers, runners, spectators, and volunteers, with no required pace. Registration features early bird and regular entry options for the 5K and 1-mile events, and a separate kids' dash entry category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
