Dixie Dash 5K & Kid's Sprint
Dixie Dash is the inaugural race presented by Georgia Pacific on November 15, 2026, at Coldstream Park and the Legacy Trail in Lexington, Kentucky. The event benefits the Lexington Ronald McDonald House.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- Kid's Sprint (200 Yards)
- Virtual 5K (3.1 Miles)
The on-site 5K is a competitive, timed run/walk on paved trail surfaces and is described as a flat course. Strollers and dogs on fixed length leashes are welcome on the 5K. Awards are given for top finishers, including Top 3 male and female overall and Top 3 male and female in 10-year age divisions. Registered participants may receive commemorative unisex race T-shirts while supplies last. Free race photos are provided and social teams are part of the event program with a prize for the largest team.
The Kid's Sprint is a 200 yard run or walk for children age 9 and under. That event is free and each child receives a participation medal; parents may purchase a commemorative shirt for an additional fee. A virtual runner/walker option is offered with a mailed commemorative T-shirt and funds supporting the charity. Volunteers are requested to work a race day shift and receive a commemorative T-shirt for a full shift. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
