Ditmars Wine Run 5k
The Ditmars Wine Run 5k takes place on July 5, 2026 at Ditmars Orchard & Vineyard in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The event is a chip timed 5k run and walk that is timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online.
The course starts and finishes at the winery. It is a cross country style, two lap course that includes some areas of uneven footing. The venue includes a vineyard, pumpkin patch, apple orchard and other on site activities such as a playground and axe throwing.
Registration is open to ages 1 through 99. Registration items listed for participants include a Super Soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip timed race bib, and a wine pour. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but not a wine glass or a wine pour.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each 10 year category. Awards must be collected on the day of the event at the registration table and pins are available starting one hour after the first wave. Packet pickup is available on race morning only.
