Disaster Dash 5K Run/ Walk
The Disaster Dash 5K Run/ Walk is organized by BRACE on June 6, 2026 in Seville Square, 311 E Government Street, Pensacola, FL 32502. The event aims to raise awareness of disaster preparedness and to encourage community readiness before, during and after a disaster.
The course is described as a super flat, 3.1 mile route through historic downtown Pensacola that starts and ends at Seville Square. Strollers and registered service animals are permitted on course.
A free family-friendly afterparty follows the event, with a live DJ and sponsor booths. The afterparty will include opportunities to learn about preparation for the upcoming hurricane season.
Proceeds support Long-Term Recovery Efforts after a disaster, the Escambia Community Emergency Response Team, the Pensacola Fire Corps, and education programs that focus on community disaster resilience.
With paid registration participants receive a race packet with sponsor items, a finisher medal and a limited edition race shirt; shirt sizes are limited and not guaranteed. Awards are planned for top overall finishers and the top two in each age group. Registration is scheduled to open on February 9, 2026 and to close on April 30, 2026; the registration fee is $30.00.
