Course and terrain
The course begins on a gravel road and moves into wooded single and double track. Terrain includes rolling hills, technical sections with rocks and roots, tight twisty segments, and a shallow, narrow creek crossing. Organizers describe the park trails as well groomed with gentle slopes and wooded scenery. A course map and GPS data files are available.
Entry, shirts and awards
Early entry fees through January 24 were listed as $45 for the 6.0-mile and $40 for the 2.8-mile; fees increase after that date and further on race day. Organizers plan to provide a long-sleeve tri-blend shirt, though late or race-day registrants may not be guaranteed a shirt. Medals and prizes will be awarded to overall top three male and female finishers in each distance, winners in masters categories, and top three finishers in age-group categories. Medals will not be mailed; recipients must be present to receive them.
