Dirty Sock 10K Run/Walk 2027
The event is a 10K run/walk held in Babylon Village, New York. The course follows village trails past Southard’s Pond, toward Belmont State Park, around Belmont Lake, and returns through wooded trails. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned, is mostly flat, includes water stops, and has about 0.2 mile of paved surface; runners should expect uneven terrain and occasional road apples.
The event is part of the USATF Long Island Track and Field Cross Country Series and is one of the few 10K races on Long Island. Proceeds support the Babylon Rotary Foundation to help local food pantries and soup kitchens.
Amenities for participants with a racing BIB entry include complimentary beer and snacks, post race refreshments, and guaranteed socks for the first 500 registered runners. Live results are provided online with same-day finish line photos and video.
Awards include cash-equivalent gift cards for the top three male and female overall finishers, an award for the first male and female Babylon Village resident finisher, and top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
