Dirty Sock 10K Run/Walk : August 9, 2026, Babylon, NY
The event is a 10K run/walk held in Babylon Village near the grade school and local trails (169 Park Ave, Babylon, NY). The course follows village trails past Southard’s Pond, toward Belmont State Park, around Belmont Lake and returns on wooded trails. The route is mostly flat, USATF certified and sanctioned, and includes water stops; only about two-tenths of a mile is on pavement. The description notes uneven terrain and natural trail conditions.
Registration includes options for a personalized bib, hat and socks, and fees are non-refundable. Pre-race bib pickup is scheduled the day before at Babylon CrossFit; same-day pickup is available through event staff. The event offers parking at Park Ave and Locust Ave parking lots.
Awards include top overall male and female, a Joe Farina award for the first male and female Babylon Village resident, and top three male and female in each age group. Each age-group winner receives a free class at both Equity Reformer Studio and Babylon CrossFit (listed value $55). Amenities for participants with racing bibs include complimentary beer and snacks and post-race refreshments; the first 500 runners are guaranteed socks.
