Dirty Sock 10K Run/Walk 2026

The Dirty Sock 10K Run/Walk is an annual event held in Babylon, New York. This race is part of the USATF Long Island Track and Field Cross Country Series and serves as a fundraiser for the Babylon Rotary Foundation, supporting local food pantries and soup kitchens. The event is open to both runners and walkers and takes place regardless of rain or shine.

The course follows the Babylon Village trails starting from Park Avenue. Participants run past Southard’s Pond and head north toward Belmont State Park, where the route wraps around Belmont Lake. The path then weaves back through wooded trails to the finish line. The course is USATF Certified and Sanctioned, featuring a fast and mostly flat profile with only 0.2 miles of paved surface. The remainder of the terrain consists of picturesque wooded trails with some uneven sections. Water stops are provided along the route.
