Course Details
The course follows the Babylon Village trails from Park Avenue, goes past Southard’s Pond, north towards Belmont State Park, wraps around Belmont Lake, and then returns through wooded trails to the finish. The route is described as fast, mostly flat, and picturesque, with only 2/10 mile paved. It includes water stops. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned and is part of the USATF Long Island Track and Field Cross Country Series.
Registration and Fees
Registration is available online. The price for the 10K is $49.33 during the early bird period, rising to $54.50 after August 2, and $59.68 on race day. These fees include a processing charge. Personalized bibs are available for registrations completed three weeks before the race. All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Proceeds benefit the Babylon Rotary Foundation to support local food pantries and soup kitchens.
Participant Amenities
Complimentary beer and snacks are provided to all race participants with a bib. The first 500 runners are guaranteed to receive socks. Post-race refreshments are available.
Awards
Awards are given to the top male and female overall finishers. The Joe Farina Award is presented to the first male and female Babylon Village resident finisher. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each category. Each age group winner also receives a free class at both Equity Reformer Studio and Babylon CrossFit.
Bib Pickup
Pre-race bib pickup is on Saturday, August 8, between 2 PM and 6 PM at Babylon Crossfit, located at 41 John Street, Babylon, NY. Day-of-race pickup begins one hour before the event start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
