Dirty Day
Dirty Day is a special-edition running and obstacle event produced by Rat Race in partnership with Forest Facility, held at Forest Facility near Stamford on 15 August 2026. The event uses a special-edition loop based on existing Forest Facility obstacles with guest features from the old Dirty Weekend course.
The main adult format is a roughly 4 mile loop featuring around 60 obstacles, with the option for adults to complete multiple laps. Some classics are being reinstated for the day, including the big water jump, a lake swim with safety paddlers, underground tunnels and other wooden-structure features. The event is un-timed and uses waved starts; the family wave starts separately.
Family participation is provided via a shortened 1.5 mile lap suitable for children aged 6 and up; this family course excludes the lake swim, big water jump and underground tunnels and uses more accessible obstacle options. Teens aged 13 to 17 are offered the 4 mile course.
On-site Forest Facility activities such as zip wires, axe throwing, archery, laser tag, mini tanks and treasure hunts will operate alongside the obstacle loop. Practical arrangements include onsite parking charged at 5 GBP per car, food from a local truck and hot drinks, composting and portable toilets, and professional medical cover with paramedics, doctors and a blue-light ambulance. Proceeds from the event contribute to Project Jungle rainforest conservation in Central America. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
