Dinosaur 10k Senior race
The Dinosaur 10k takes place on July 25, 2027, on Deal seafront and is organised by Deal Tri. The event distance is 10 km and entry is managed online by Sport Systems Limited.
The certified out-and-back course heads south through Walmer, turns inland to circle the undulating borders of Kingsdown and returns to the seafront for a flat final 4 km. The course measurement certificate is SEAA no 2026-166. Surfaces are primarily tarmac with a 40 m section of metalled trail in the second kilometre. Kilometre markers and full marshalling are provided; cyclists will precede the lead runner and follow the last runner. Most road sections remain open to traffic and the seafront is shared with pedestrians, dog walkers and cyclists.
Race headquarters are at the 2nd Deal Sea Scout building on Marine Road. Limited public toilets are available nearby and on the route. There are no changing facilities and bag drop is at competitors own risk. Race numbers must be worn on the front of the shirt and medical and emergency details should be completed on the reverse of the bib.
The event is run under UKA rules. Athletes must not be accompanied by cyclists or dogs and the course is not suitable for wheelchair participants. Approved bone conducting headphones are allowed at a volume that permits hearing marshals and traffic. First aid is provided by Margate Ambulance Corps with radio communications by Raynet.
All finishers receive a sustainably sourced medal. A new seven‑medal series began in 2026. Monetary prizes and a £100 record reward for the first male and female to break the course records are listed for overall placings and age categories.
