DINO Gravel Triathlon
The event is held at Griffin Bike Park, 10700 Bono Rd, Terre Haute, Indiana. It includes multiple race formats on the same day: triathlon, duathlon, kayak triathlon, relay options, and a separate 10K trail run. Registration opens December 29, 2025 and closes May 31, 2026. Entry fees vary by race and by relay or individual entry.
Distances for the main formats include:
- Triathlon: 500 m swim; 12 mile gravel bike; 5 km trail run
- Duathlon: 5 km trail run; 12 mile gravel bike; 5 km trail run
- Kayak triathlon: 1 km paddle; 12 mile gravel bike; 5 km trail run
- 10K Trail Run: two laps of a 5 km trail course
The 12 mile gravel bike course is described as MTB friendly with gently rolling terrain and very gentle hills. The 5 km trail run sections are described as moderate with mostly stable surface and some short ups and downs. Most of the route is wide enough for passing.
A USA Triathlon one day membership is required and may be purchased online during registration or in person for $14.00; participants who already hold a membership should bring their member ID. Day of pricing applies according to event materials. The 10K Trail Run also serves as a bonus points race for the DINO Trail Run Series with up to ten bonus points awarded based on finishing position.
