Event Overview
The Diaper Dash 5K is a community event hosted by the Versailles United Methodist Church to support its local diaper bank ministry. This initiative provides diapers to families in need within the Versailles area. The event takes place at the Falling Springs Recreation Center and utilizes a scenic course consisting of smooth paved trails and roadway surfaces.
Race Options
Participants can choose from several participation formats:
- 5K Run/Walk: A 3.1 mile chip-timed race on paved surfaces.
- FREE Kid's Sprint: A 200 yard dash specifically for children aged 9 and under.
- Virtual Runner/Walker: A 3.1 mile remote option for those unable to attend in person.
Participant Information
The 5K Run/Walk welcomes walkers, strollers, and dogs on fixed-length leashes. Registered 5K participants receive a commemorative race T-shirt while supplies last, and free race photos are provided to all entrants. For the children's sprint, every child receives a participation medal, and parents have the option to purchase an event shirt separately.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the top three finishers in various age divisions. There is also a prize for the largest social team. In addition to the races, a diaper drive is held on-site where donors can enter a raffle for future race entries in exchange for donated boxes of diapers.
Logistics
