Diamond Hill : County Galway, 22 August 2026
Diamond Hill is a mountain running event in County Galway held on 22 August 2026. The main route covers 7.10 km with 440 m of climb and a short course of 2.90 km. The route is fully marked and the use of GPS is not allowed.
Entry details include a limit of 250 participants. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over-65s and under-18s. Entries open on 17 August 2026 and close on 21 September 2026.
Mandatory Level B kit is required for all runners and includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag or equivalent. The exact kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day depending on conditions and will be advised at registration. Random kit checks may be carried out; failure to have required items may result in denied entry or disqualification.
Parking is available in Connemara National Park and carpooling is suggested due to shared use of the car park. The event forms part of the Galway League. Volunteer roles are noted separately; two non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year qualify a person for end-of-year prize consideration.
