About the race
Diamond Hill is a mountain running event in County Galway held on Saturday 12 September 2026. The main route covers 7.10 km with 440 m of climb; a short course of 2.90 km is also available. The route is fully marked and GPS use is not allowed.
Entry details: entries open Monday 17 August 2026 at 21:00 and close Friday 11 September 2026 at 18:00. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. Entry capacity is 60 places; current entries are listed as 0 of 60.
The event is part of the Galway League and requires mandatory Level B kit. Runners must carry a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag. The organiser will confirm the exact kit to be carried on the day depending on conditions. Random kit checks may be carried out and lack of required items may lead to denial of entry or disqualification.
