Diamond Hill event
Diamond Hill takes place in County Galway on Saturday 5th September 2026. The race is part of the Galway League and the route is fully marked. GPS use is not allowed. The event lists a climb of 440 m.
Course and access
The event offers two course options:
- 7.10 km
- 2.90 km (short course)
Parking is available in Connemara National Park. Organisers note there is a large car park but other people may be using the trail, and carpooling is suggested. Entry information was not provided; entries for league events usually open a couple of weeks before the event.
Mandatory kit and volunteering
The mandatory kit level is B - Standard. Runners must bring a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag. The specific kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day and advised at registration. Random checks may be carried out and missing required items may lead to denied entry or disqualification.
Volunteering notes: to qualify for the end of year prize a person must have done two non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year. Participants are asked to aim to volunteer at least once for every ten events they run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
