Connemara International Marathon : 19 April 2026
The Connemara International Marathon takes place in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland on 19 April 2026. The event offers multiple race distances across routes that pass through rural Connemara and include a lakeside start for one distance.
Race distances include:
- Half Marathon - starts in Leenane, finishes in Maam Cross, distance 13.1 miles.
- Full Marathon - starts at Lough Inagh, follows the half marathon route and finishes in Maam Cross.
- Ultra Marathon - retained from the 2023 course, distance 39.3 miles.
Race numbers for the 2026 event will be posted worldwide. All participants must complete a short form to confirm their place and to reserve a bus seat for transfer to start areas. Spectator buses run from Galway, Oughterard and Clifden to the Maam Cross finish area; spectator tickets are available online and must be purchased in advance.
The published entry fees for the event are €70 for the half marathon, €75 for the full marathon and €80 for the ultra marathon. Spectator tickets are listed at €20 for adults and €15 for children.
