Connemarathon

About the race

The Connemara International Marathon is a multi-distance road race held in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, on 25 April 2027. The event includes three organised distances:

• Half marathon : starts in Leenane and finishes 13.1 miles away in Maam Cross.
• Full marathon : starts at Lough Inagh, follows the half marathon course, and finishes in Maam Cross.
• Ultra marathon : a 39.3 mile course that follows the route introduced in 2023.

Race numbers for participants are posted worldwide; entrants must provide a full address and notify organisers of any address changes. All participants are required to complete a short confirmation form to secure their place and to book a bus seat to the start, which supports planning of the event transport. The organisers note that Connemara weather is highly variable and participants should prepare for a wide range of conditions.
