Event overview
The Connemara International Marathon is scheduled for 19 April 2026 in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. The event includes three distances:
- Half Marathon - starts in Leenane and finishes in Maam Cross, covering 13.1 miles.
- Full Marathon - starts at Lough Inagh, follows the half marathon course and finishes in Maam Cross.
- Ultra Marathon - retained from the 2023 route, listed as 39.3 miles.
The event route passes through rural Connemara locations and includes varied terrain.
Practical information
Race numbers will be posted worldwide; participants must provide a full mailing address and inform organisers of any address changes. All participants are required to complete a short form to confirm their place and to book a bus seat for travel to the start. Spectator buses pick up in Galway, Oughterard and Clifden and travel to the finish area at Maam Cross; spectator bus tickets must be purchased in advance.
Entry fees shown are: Half Marathon €70, Full Marathon €75, Ultra Marathon €80. Spectator tickets listed are €20 for adults and €15 for children.
