About the race

The Connemara International Marathon takes place in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, on 25 April 2027 as the 23rd Connemarathon. The event offers multiple race distances that use local start and finish locations:

• Half Marathon: starts in Leenane and finishes 13.1 miles away in Maam Cross.
• Full Marathon: starts at Lough Inagh, follows the half marathon course for part of the route and finishes in Maam Cross.
• Ultra Marathon: a 39.3 mile course introduced in 2023 and retained for 2026.
