Diablo Trail Run
The Diablo Trail Run takes place in Mount Diablo State Park, starting from the Mitchell Canyon Trailhead in Clayton, California. The park offers views of the San Francisco Bay Area and the surrounding valleys. The event features several trail race options that follow specific paths within the park's natural terrain.
Participants can choose from a range of distances measured for accuracy with a surveyor's measuring wheel:
- 4 Miles
- 10 Miles
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- 50K (30.4 Miles)
- 2 Miles
- 50 Yards (Kids Run)
The 4 Mile course is organized within Mitchell Canyon and consists of relatively flat terrain. In contrast, the longer race distances are mountainous. There is a dedicated run for children aged six years and younger, which consists of a 50 yard dash. All standard race events are classified as trail races, while the short children's dash and the 2 Mile testing event are categorized as running races.
