Diabetes Dash 5K - Westerville
The Diabetes Dash 5K is the eighth annual community 5K Run/Walk in Westerville, Ohio, scheduled for July 19, 2026. The event offers both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option, plus a short kids run.
The race was created shortly after a local diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes in July 2018. Its stated purpose is to help fund critical research and to educate the community about Type 1 Diabetes. Proceeds will benefit Breakthrough T1D – Southern & Central Ohio Chapter. A portion of event proceeds will also be added to a scholarship fund that supports Westerville City School graduating seniors living with Type 1 Diabetes through $1,000 scholarships.
