Diabetes Dash 5K - Westerville
The Diabetes Dash 5K Run/Walk is the 8th annual event in Westerville, Ohio on July 19, 2026. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation and includes a short kids run recommended for young children.

- 5K run/walk, in-person
- 70 m Kids Run, recommended for age 8 and under
- 5K virtual option
The event was created shortly after a diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes in July 2018. Organizers support Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF, and use the event to raise awareness about Type 1 Diabetes and to help fund research.
Proceeds benefit Breakthrough T1D, Central Ohio Chapter. A portion of race proceeds is added to a scholarship fund that provides $1,000 awards to Westerville City School graduating seniors living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Registration opens February 28, 2026 and closes July 19, 2026. Registration fees listed for the events are $35 for the 5K in-person and virtual entries, and $10 for the Kids Run.
