Devizes Half Marathon
The Devizes Half Marathon is scheduled for 22 March 2026 in the market town of Devizes, Wiltshire. The event covers a distance of 13.1 miles and is organised by LPS Events.
Devizes is a historic market town with Norman origins. The town centre retains a medieval street plan in a D shape and includes buildings surviving from the 16th century. The town hosts weekly general and collectors markets and regular farmers and continental markets. Nearby the Caen Hill flight of 29 locks and the canal tow path offer views of the surrounding countryside and boat hire and trips are available in summer. The wider area includes stately homes, villages, waterways and routes for walking and cycling.
The route is described as undulating and has produced course records for both men and women. The event has operated in its current form since 2012 and has received multiple awards.
Practical information provided by the organiser notes the event location as The Green, Devizes, SN10 3AA. Parking is available around the town and many car parks offer free parking on Sundays though tariffs should be checked. The nearest bus stop is The Market Place, served by Stagecoach 49 and Faresaver 33 with links from Swindon and Chippenham railway stations; the venue is about a 10 minute walk or a 5 minute cycle from the stop. Camping is not available. Entry is open to people aged 17 and over and standard entry fees are shown as £35 to £37. An event protection policy and an interest free monthly payment option are offered.
