Event overview
The Devil's Den 10 Miler takes place on August 16, 2026 in Culpeper, VA. The race offers two event options: a traditional in-person 10 miles and a Virtual 10 miles (Run Anywhere, Aug. 16-18). Registration opens March 4, 2026. Entry fees listed in the event information are $50 for the in-person 10 Miler and $45 for the Virtual 10 Miler. Both event options are open to ages 12 and older; the organizer strongly recommends that individuals under 16 not run the in-person event. Registrations received after July 22 are not guaranteed a race shirt.
Race logistics, course and awards
The in-person race starts and finishes in front of the Culpeper County Sports Complex at 16358 Competition Drive. The USATF certified course is a loop with mostly flat sections and some rolling hills, with views of the Culpeper countryside and the Shenandoah Mountains. Parking and restrooms are available near the venue. Aid stations will be located at miles 2, 4, 6 and 8; Monolith Endurance Fuel will be provided at mile 6 and samples will be available at packet pickup.
Packet pickup and shirt distribution are available Saturday, August 15 at River Rock Outfitter in Fredericksburg and on race day at the sports complex. Awards for the in-person race include cash for overall top three male and female finishers ($100, $75, $50) and other category prizes, plus a $100 bonus to the winner if current event records are broken. Age-group and masters awards are also offered. All finishers receive a commemorative award. Proceeds above operating costs will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
