Devil on the Divide
The Devil on the Divide is a trail running event held in Empire, Colorado. The event offers two race distances: a 50K and a 22K.
The courses are point-to-point and are 100% on dirt, with a majority of each route being single-track trail. The race takes place at high altitude, with a top elevation over 13,000 feet. The 50K involves over 6,500 feet of climbing, while the 22K involves 3,400 feet of elevation gain.
Due to the difficulty and remote nature of the course, prior ultrarunning experience is required for 50K participants. High-altitude trail running experience is highly recommended for 22K participants. Cut-off times are enforced for both distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
