Devil on the Divide is a point-to-point trail event held in Empire, Colorado, offering two distance options.
- 50K - over 6,500 ft elevation gain
- 22K - 3,400 ft elevation gain
Both courses reach a top altitude above 13,000 feet. The routes are 100% dirt and the majority of each course is on single-track trail. The organizer notes the race takes place in remote terrain and involves significant climbing.
Because of the course difficulty and remoteness, prior ultra running experience is required for 50K entrants. Trail running experience at high altitude is highly recommended for 22K entrants. Cut-off times are enforced for both distances.
Race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable, with limited exceptions for active duty military deployments, pregnancy after registration, and new child additions. The race director may postpone, delay, shorten, or cancel the event due to severe weather, forest fires, or other circumstances that could put participants or volunteers at risk; there will be no refunds in the event of race modification or cancellation.
