Devil on the Divide
The Devil on the Divide is a trail race held in Empire, Colorado on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The 2026 event is sold out; the waitlist for the 50K remains open.

Both courses are point to point and are 100% dirt. The majority of each route is single track trail. The 50K reaches a top altitude above 13,000 feet and has over 6,500 feet of climbing. The 22K has about 3,400 feet of elevation gain. The course runs through Clear Creek County with views of the Continental Divide.
Because of the remoteness and difficulty of the terrain, prior ultra running experience is required for 50K participants. Trail running experience at high altitude is highly recommended for 22K participants. The event operates under special permission from the Arapaho National Forest - Clear Creek Ranger District, Clear Creek County and the Town of Empire.
