Desert Island Trail Runs
Desert Island Trail Runs is a trail event in Carson City, Nevada, held within the Prison Hill Recreation Area. The race start and finish are located at the motorized vehicle (OHV) staging area south of the Snyder Road trail head. The course uses single track and double track trails through the recreation area.
Distances offered include:
- 21K on single and double track, one water aid station near mile 7
- 10K on single and double track, no aid stations
- 5K on single and double track, no aid stations
Registration is tiered with different fees before and after 10/09/2026 and a race day registration option; payments accepted include cash, check, or Zelle. Registration closes on Nov 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. All runners receive their bib on race morning at check in.
There are no finisher or division place awards. Parking is expected to be ample at the staging area; participants are asked to park parallel to one another to maximize space.
