Event overview
The Des Moines Spring 4-Miler takes place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa. It is the second edition of the race and is organized by Wieland Racing. Course and logistics
The course is set in Waterworks Park, starting near the Bill Riley Trail Bridge. The route follows both the big and the same loop counterclockwise before returning to the start; the course is described as flat and fast and listed as certified pending the certificate. Parking inside the park will be eastbound only with a turnaround next to the start; additional gravel lots are available on the north side of the road. Lauridsen Amphitheater is noted as a parking option about a mile from the start and Jasper Winery parking on George Flagg is another possible option. A bag drop zone will accept 12x18 inch plastic drawstring bags labeled with the race number; bags must be picked up after the race using the bib. During registration participants are asked to join a team or select "No Team" and may add a team if it is not listed.
