Event overview

The Derwent Reservoir 5 & 10 Milers take place on 22 February 2026 at Derwent Reservoir, Edmundbyers, Consett, DH8 9TT. This is the seventh running of the winter trail events. The routes run around Derwent Reservoir, which lies on the border of County Durham and Northumberland.

Routes

  • 10 mile

The courses mix firm trails, woodland paths, grassy sections, and a small amount of road running. The 5 mile route is canicross friendly with one controlled dog per runner. The 10 mile route is not suitable for canicross because it includes extended sections on roads. There is a 2.5-hour cut off for the 10 mile event due to road closures.
