Carsington Water Half Marathon and 10k
The Carsington Water Half Marathon and 10k takes place on the trail paths surrounding the Carsington Water reservoir in Derbyshire. The event offers runners the opportunity to participate in one of two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
The course features an undulating landscape that provides views of the water and the surrounding countryside. Participants in the Half Marathon complete an out and back section followed by one full loop of the reservoir. The 10k distance consists of almost one full loop of the reservoir. Every kilometer along the route is accurately marked to assist runners with their pacing.
The race utilizes trail paths rather than paved roads. Helpers are positioned throughout the course to provide encouragement to participants. The entry fee includes a themed finishers medal, water, and post-race goodies. Additionally, event t-shirts featuring the race logo are available for purchase. The event village includes various stalls and a dedicated area for volunteers who assist with the management of the race and the distribution of medals at the finish line.
