Derby City 10K
The event takes place on March 21, 2026. It is the second leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running series. The race offers both a 10K and a 5K distance. The course runs through downtown Louisville.
Course Details
The route passes landmarks such as the Kentucky Opera, Jefferson Square Park, the Louisville Slugger Museum, historic Whiskey Row, and Lynn Family Stadium. The finish line is located at Louisville Slugger Field.
Registration Inclusions
Registration includes an exclusive wearable swag item, a finisher’s medal, a race bib, finisher’s photos, aid stations, and a post-race party outside Louisville Slugger Field. The party features fresh donuts from Jeff’s Donuts and one free Against The Grain beer for participants aged 21 and over.
Community and Series
The event supports the WHAS Crusade for Children charity. It is possible to register for the full Louisville Triple Crown of Running series, which includes the Whiskey Row 5K and the University of Louisville 10 Mile or 8K races. Registering for the series offers a discount. Virtual participation options and group registrations are available. Volunteer opportunities are also offered.
