Derby City 10K
The Derby City 10K is a road race held in downtown Louisville on March 20, 2027. The event is presented as the second leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running, presented by the Courier Journal, and includes both 10K and 5K distances.
The downtown course passes local landmarks such as the Kentucky Opera, Jefferson Square Park, the Louisville Slugger Museum, historic Whiskey Row, and Lynn Family Stadium, and it finishes at Louisville Slugger Field. The course is fully supported with premium aid stations and on-course support.
Race registration includes an exclusive wearable swag item, a finisher’s medal, a race bib, finisher photos, fresh snacks, and one free beer for participants 21 and older. A post-race party takes place outside Louisville Slugger Field.
The event offers a virtual option that allows participants to run from another location and still receive event swag. Group registration and volunteer opportunities are available. The race supports the WHAS Crusade for Children as a charity partner.
The Derby City 10K is part of a three-race series. The Triple Crown can be completed in two series options that combine the Whiskey Row 5K with either the Derby City 10K and University of Louisville 10 Mile or the Derby City 5K and University of Louisville 8K. Series entries include exclusive swag and a finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
