Derby City 10K
The Derby City 10K and 5K take place in downtown Louisville on March 20, 2027. The downtown course passes landmarks such as the Kentucky Opera, Jefferson Square Park, the Louisville Slugger Museum, historic Whiskey Row, and Lynn Family Stadium, and finishes at Louisville Slugger Field. A virtual option is available for participants who choose to run remotely.
Race entries include an exclusive wearable swag item, a finisher's medal, a race bib, finisher photos, and access to a fully supported course with premium aid stations. After the run there is a post race party outside Louisville Slugger Field with fresh snacks and one complimentary beer for participants age 21 and over.
The event is the second leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running presented by the Courier Journal. Participants can pursue the Tower Crown challenges: the Crown Jewel series with the Whiskey Row 5K, Derby City 10K, and the University of Louisville 10 Mile, or the Coronet series with shorter distances. Series registration offers a reduced per race fee when all three events are registered together. The race program also includes group registration options, volunteer opportunities, and charity support for the WHAS Crusade for Children.
