Derby City 10K in Louisville
The Derby City 10K® takes place in downtown Louisville on March 20, 2027. The event includes both 10 km and 5 km options and is the second race in the Louisville Triple Crown of Running presented by the Courier Journal. The downtown course passes landmarks such as the Kentucky Opera, Jefferson Square Park, the Louisville Slugger Museum, historic Whiskey Row, and Lynn Family Stadium, and it finishes at Louisville Slugger Field.
The event package for registered participants includes an exclusive wearable swag item, a finisher’s medal, a race bib, finisher photos, and a fully supported course with premium aid stations. A post-race party is held outside Louisville Slugger Field with fresh snacks and one free beer for participants age 21 and over.
Additional options and services associated with the event include a virtual entry that allows participation from any location, group registration, volunteer opportunities, and an official charity partnership supporting the WHAS Crusade for Children. The Triple Crown series offers two completion options called the Crown Jewel and the Coronet, and series registration provides a per-race discount when bundling events.
