Derby 10 Mile

The 10th edition of the Derby 10 Mile takes place on 15 November 2026 and starts and finishes at Derby Arena in Derby. The route is described as flat and fast and is presented as having potential for a personal best.

The event is run under ARC Rules for Competition with Event Permit 26/0645. In accordance with those rules, no one under 16 years on race day may participate. Running numbers must be worn and pinned to the front of the running top; participants must write name, address, emergency contact details and any medical conditions on the back of their number and mark the front with a red X if medical conditions are recorded. Running numbers are non-refundable and non-deferrable.

A chip timing system is used with the timing chip attached to the race number. Official results, prizes and course records are awarded by Gun Time; an individual Chip Time is also recorded and both times will be published. Do not bend or remove the timing chip.

Race numbers are normally posted out around one week before the event or made available for collection on race morning. Toilet facilities are available inside Derby Arena and public toilets are located near the Elvaston Castle car park just after the six mile point. Parking is on a first come, first served basis; Pride Park and Park and Ride is recommended and cycle locking is permitted outside the Arena subject to availability.

There are two water stations on course with cups provided and a bottled water for finishers. Carrying additional hydration is permitted. Pacers are provided across six time categories: 1hr10, 1hr20, 1hr30, 1hr40, 1hr50 and 2hrs. After finishing, runners are directed to collect a technical finishers t shirt and a finishers medal; sizes cannot be guaranteed.
