Dennis Risch Memorial 5K Run/Walk
The Dennis Risch Memorial 5K Run and Walk is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum in Cincinnati, Ohio (4389 Spring Grove Ave., 45232). This is the fourth annual running of the event. The race benefits the Dennis S. Risch Memorial Fund, which in 2026 is supporting the Immigrant and Refugee Law Center.
Event details and logistics
The event distance is 5K and is open to runners and walkers. Registration is online only. Youth ages 6-18 receive a reduced registration fee; children under 6 do not need to register. Registration fees through February 28, 2026 are listed for adults (age 19 and over) and for youth; higher fees apply on race day. Commemorative short-sleeve T-shirts will be available for purchase for a fee while supplies last. Timing will use MyLaps disposable bib tags with the chip on the bib; no timing-chip returns are required. The course starts and ends near the Spring Grove Funeral Home and winds through the arboretum. Age divisions are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Awards include overall male and female winners and top male and female in each division; an additional overall Stoller category was added in 2025.
