The Dennis Risch Memorial 5K Run/Walk is the fourth annual running of the event, scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event takes place at Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, 4389 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45232. The event is open to runners and walkers and is open to participants aged 6 and older; children under 6 do not need to register. The distance offered is 5K.
Benefit, registration and logistics
The event benefits the Dennis S. Risch Memorial Fund, with proceeds this year directed to the Student Farm at Aiken High School. Registration is handled online, including on the day of the race. Published registration fees list $30 for adults (19 and over) and $10 for youth (6-18), with higher fees noted for on-site registration. Commemorative short-sleeve T-shirts are available for purchase for $15 while supplies last.
Course, timing and awards
The course starts and ends near the Spring Grove Funeral Home and winds through the arboretum. Timing is by MyLaps disposable bib tags; the timing chip is attached to the bib and does not need to be returned. Age divisions are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Awards include overall male and female winners and top male and female in each division; an overall Stoller category is noted as new for 2025. There is a post-race gathering at Brink Brewing Company.
