Dellinger Dash 3K and "Lake Lap" for Kids
The event takes place on August 6, 2026, at Dellinger Park in Cartersville, Georgia. It is presented in conjunction with Cartersville Parks & Recreation and Wire2Wire Running as the seventh annual running of the Dellinger Dash. Proceeds support area school running programs through Wire2Wire Running's Shoes4Kids Program.
Distances offered:
- 3K one complete loop around the park (the Dellinger Dash)
- 450 m Lake Lap around the pond for ages 8 and under
Both races start and finish adjacent to the park duck pond. The Dellinger Dash follows one full loop of the park, including the small hill up to the pool; the full loop measures 3K. The Lake Lap is a single lap around the park pond and is described as just over a quarter mile. Younger children may be escorted by an adult if necessary.
Awards for the 3K include overall 1st to 3rd places (male and female), a masters 1st place (male and female), and age-group medals across multiple categories up to 70 and over. All Lake Lap participants receive a completion medal. All registered participants receive a commemorative T-shirt.
Registration opens March 24, 2026 and closes August 2, 2026. Registration fees listed are $25.00 for the 3K and $20.00 for the Lake Lap.
