The Colorectal Cancer Awareness 5K takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Dover, Delaware. The event starts at 391 N Dupont Hwy at The Greene Turtle. It is the first annual edition of the event.
Cause and Beneficiary
The event is connected to National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. It aims to educate the community about prevention, early detection, and risk factors for colorectal cancer, a leading cause of cancer death in the United States. All funds raised will be donated to the Cancer Support Community Delaware, a nonprofit organization that provides free support groups and programs for cancer patients and their caregivers.
Registration and Logistics
Registration has a discounted price of $10, increasing to $15 after the first 50 registrants. Bib pick-up and registration are available on the event day from 8:00 AM until 8:55 AM.
Participant Information
The event is a 5K run. Participants will receive a race shirt, as well as post-race snacks and refreshments. Awards will be given for overall male and female finishers, overall masters male and female, top three male and female finishers, and winners in standard age groups from 9 and under to 70+.
