Delaware County Suicide Prevention/Awareness 2026
This event is the 21st annual 5k run/walk, scheduled for Saturday, 05/02/2026 at Ridley Creek State Park, Pavilions 11A/B in Media, Pennsylvania. The site address is 1023 Sycamore Mills Rd, Media, PA. If using GPS, an alternate location is 351 Gradyville Rd, Newtown Square, PA 19073. The event proceeds rain or shine.
The organizing body is the Delaware County Suicide Prevention and Awareness Task Force (DCSPATF). Its mission is to raise understanding of suicide as a preventable community health problem. The task force is affiliated with behavioral health organizations in the county, the county medical society, local hospitals and health systems, county government, the intermediate unit, and several school districts in Delaware County.
Registration information is as follows: individual registration is $25 with children under 12 admitted free; teams of five or more pay $20 per person; student teams ages 12 to 19 of five or more pay $10 per student; on-site registration is $30 and T-shirt size is not guaranteed for on-site registrants. Registration includes a free DRI FIT T-shirt, a snack, and water. New this year, Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck will provide beverages at no cost to participants.
