Delaware County Suicide Prevention/Awareness 2026
The event is the 21st annual community 5K run/walk held at Ridley Creek State Park, with activity centered near Pavilions 11A and 11B. It features both a 5K run and a 5K walk on the park grounds and takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026. An alternate GPS address is given as 351 Gradyville Rd, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
The race supports the mission of the Delaware County Suicide Prevention and Awareness Task Force to raise understanding of suicide as a preventable community health issue. The task force is affiliated with behavioral health organizations, the county medical society, hospitals and health systems, county government, the intermediate unit, and many Delaware County school districts.
Registration categories include individual entries, children under 12, team entries of five or more, and student teams for ages 12 to 19. On-site registration is available; T-shirt size is not guaranteed for on-site registrants. Registration includes a complimentary T-shirt, snack, and water. Medals will be awarded in various age groups.
