Del Dios Trail Race : Lake Hodges, Escondido CA
Del Dios is a trail race held at Lake Hodges Boat Ramp in Escondido, California on January 24, 2027. The event is listed as the 13th annual "Race of the Gods" and serves as a championship qualifier event.
Courses run on single-track trails and dirt service roads. Elevation gain varies by distance and is listed between 100 feet and 2900 feet depending on the chosen course. Available distances include:

The Hercules DemiGod Challenge, new for 2027, requires a single-day completion of three distances in order: half marathon, 10K, and 5K. Participants in that challenge receive three marked bibs and finisher medals for each distance plus an additional DemiGod finisher medal after completing all three. The challenge must be completed within a five hour time window and requires crossing the start and finish lines for each distance.
During the event the Lake Hodges Boat Ramp area is closed to the public. All vehicles entering the gated area must display a parking pass provided by the event organizer; passes are distributed with race day details approximately one week before the event.
