DEKA FIT Philadelphia
The DEKA FIT Philadelphia event is a three-day functional fitness competition held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Located in downtown Philadelphia, the venue host several indoor categories designed to test physical attributes through a combination of running and specialized workout stations.
Participants can choose from various competition formats:
- DEKA FIT: A 5 km course featuring 10 dynamic fitness zones.
- DEKA FIT Ultra: A multi-lap endurance version of the standard course.
- Ruck: A division where participants complete the course while carrying a weighted pack.
- Team: Divisions for teams of two or four people.
The event structure includes dedicated waves for Age Group and Elite competitors. The standard 5 km DEKA FIT distance has an average completion time of approximately 50 minutes and 30 seconds. The competition is held entirely within the state-of-the-art arena of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, situated at 1101 Arch Street.
In addition to the primary individual and team heats, the weekend offers opportunities for volunteers. Individuals who fulfill a volunteer shift can receive race credits for future participation in various designated events. Discounts are also provided for US military members, law enforcement, first responders, and government employees through an affiliation verification process.
