DEKA FIT Manchester takes place at Manchester Central, an indoor venue in Manchester. The event runs over two days and includes the DEKA FIT main event, the UK’s first DEKA FIT Ultra, and a dedicated DEKA Ruck wave. The venue hosts the fitness course and running sections under one roof.
Race format
The DEKA FIT format combines running and functional fitness across ten zones. Each zone is preceded by a 500 m run, giving a total running distance of 5 km. Competitors complete ten functional training zones that increase in body engagement; zones 6 to 10 are described as requiring full-body effort. Heats are offered at different intensity levels, from Age Group through Elite. The listed average completion time is 0 h 50 m 30 s.
Awards and participant services
Finishers receive a finisher tee, a finisher medal with lanyard, and a DEKA FIT Trifecta wedge for athletes pursuing multiple DEKA formats. Results can be recorded on global DEKA leaderboards. Volunteer shifts are available; volunteers may receive a free race credit valid for specified US DEKA or Spartan events.
