Event Overview
Death by 5k Waterloo is a endurance running event held at George Wyth State Park. Participants are required to complete ten separate 5k runs within a 24-hour period. Each 5k segment begins exactly 2.5 hours after the previous one, covering a total distance of 50k.
Course Details
The race headquarters is located at the Canfield Shelter within the park. The course follows an out and back route on the paved Cedar Valley Lakes Trail. Runners and walkers are both permitted to participate in the challenge.
Facilities and Support
The event provides five distinct meals featuring hot food served at specific intervals throughout the 24-hour duration. A variety of snacks and drinks are also available to participants between runs. For rest periods, individuals may use camping tents, hammocks, pop-up tents, or their personal vehicles to recover between the scheduled starts.
Participation and Registration
The event is limited to an initial capacity of 150 participants, with a waitlist available once the limit is reached. Registered participants receive an event shirt and additional gear.
