Logistics and race details
The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Qualifier. Packet pick-up and timing chips must be collected at the pre-race Expo; there is no packet pick-up on race day. Start-area shuttle buses and trolley service are provided to the start lines and there is no parking at the starting areas; free parking is available at the Days of 76 Rodeo Grounds. A bag-drop service will transport participant bags from the starts to the finish area.
Medical support includes Lawrence County search and rescue volunteers, bicycle monitors on course, and an EMT-staffed medical tent at the finish. Aid stations are placed approximately every 2 miles and offer water, Powerade, banana chunks, pretzels, and some stations include M&M’s; portable toilets are provided at specified mile markers. The event allows walkers, the course is open for 7 hours, and children under 14 may run only in the relay. There are no refunds or transfers; participants may change events until May 1.
