Deadwood Mickelson Trail Marathon
The event takes place June 6 and June 7, 2026 along the Mickelson Trail between Rochford and Deadwood, South Dakota. Multiple race options are offered across the two days on the trail corridor.
- XTERRA Half Marathon, limited to 2000 participants
- XTERRA Marathon, limited to 500 participants
- 5-Person Marathon Relay, limited to 55 teams
- Mickelson Fast 5K, held June 6
- Kids Wonderful 1K, held June 6
Registration fees vary by race and by registration period. For the main races the fee ranges are: Half Marathon $85 to $100, Marathon $95 to $110, and the 5-person relay $250 to $275. The 5K has rates from $25 to $30 and the kids 1K from $10 to $15. Early, regular and later registration periods apply; for the main events early rates run through January 2, regular rates run through March 15, and later rates run through May 28. The 5K and kids 1K have separate registration date ranges.
