XTERRA Deadwood Mickelson
XTERRA Deadwood Mickelson is a multi-race trail running event held in Deadwood, South Dakota on June 6 and 7, 2026. The main venue is the Deadwood Mickelson Trailhead and the course passes an abandoned mining town, railroad trestles, a mountain section, large rock formations, and a creek before finishing in the historic town of Deadwood. The event is part of the XTERRA Trail Run World Series and allocates 232 TRWC slots.

Course services and rules described by the organizer include shuttle buses and trolleys from Deadwood hotels and Days of 76 Rodeo Grounds, no parking at the start lines, a bag drop service that delivers bags to the finish area, and required packet and chip pickup at the expo. Aid stations are placed roughly every 2 miles and provide water, Powerade, banana chunks, pretzels, and some stations include M&M’s; portable toilets are located at specific mile markers. The marathon course is USATF certified and is listed as a Boston Qualifier. Event transfers and refunds are not permitted, though event changes are allowed until May 1.
