Dead Horse Ultra

Dead Horse Ultra takes place on November 14, 2026 in Moab, UT. The event offers multiple trail distances:

The courses use the Magnificent Seven trail system and include technical slickrock, rocky climbs, and singletrack. Runners follow the Gemini Bridges Trail to the first aid station with views from Court Point into Bride Canyon. After the roughly 15 mile aid station, the route continues onto Bull Run Trail with recurring vistas of Arches National Park, the La Sal Mountains, and the Moab Valley.

Aid station and sustainability notes: the event is cup-less. Water dispensers are located at the start/finish area and at every aid station; runners may fill bladders, bottles, and reusable cups. Detailed aid station mileage, cutoff times, and course limits are provided in the race guide.

Logistics and parking: the start/finish is at the Gemini Bridges trailhead, about 10 miles north of downtown Moab. The main parking lot is one way with a designated drop-off zone; overflow and oversized vehicle parking are available nearby. Pedestrians must use the under-highway path and not cross the highway. Parking attendants direct vehicle placement and parking rules are part of the event safety plan.

Finish area and extras: the finish is at the same location as the start. Food and beverages are available at the finish area. All entrants receive a custom short sleeved race shirt, a technical trucker, and a finishers medal.
