Dead Horse Ultra
Dead Horse Ultra is a trail running event in Moab, Utah, held on November 14, 2026. It is the second race in the Triple Crown of Moab series and is part of the Run Moab race lineup.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 15K
- 30K
- 50K
- 50 Mile
Courses use the Magnificent Seven trail system and include technical slickrock, rocky climbs, and singletrack. Runners follow routes that pass Gemini Bridges Trail, Court Point, Bride Canyon, and Bull Run Trail, with recurring views of Arches National Park, the La Sal Mountains, and the Moab Valley.
Elevation details are provided for each distance, for example:
- 50 Mile lowest point 4564' highest point 5797' elevation gain 4895'
- 50K lowest point 4560' highest point 5768' elevation gain 2805'
- 30K lowest point 4564' highest point 5131' elevation gain 1729'
- 15K lowest point 4564' highest point 5000' elevation gain 932'
Aid stations are present along the courses and the event is cup-less: water dispensers are available at the start/finish and at every aid station for filling bladders, bottles, or reusable cups. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the start line. Camping options are available nearby at the locally owned 7 Mile RV Park Campground; reservations are required. Parking and access use the Gemini Bridges parking lot with overflow parking and a pedestrian path under the highway. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
