Dead Carp 10 Mile Run, 5K Run/Walk, and Little Carp 1 Mile : Marquette, MI
The Dead Carp event takes place May 8–9, 2026 at Drifa Brewing Company in Marquette, Michigan. The long course was changed from a 20K to a 10 Mile to mark Queen City Running Company’s 10 year anniversary. The event includes multiple distance options and a community-focused race day.
The main courses are an out and back and back route that passes over both the Dead and Carp Rivers along Marquette’s lakeshore. The organizer describes the course as flat and fast and suited to spring conditions. A Little Carp one mile race is offered for children age 12 and under.

Logistics and awards are specified for each distance. Packet pickup for the 5K and 10 Mile is scheduled at Queen City Running Company on Thursday 5/7 and Friday 5/8 from 12:00 to 20:00. There is no packet pickup for the Little Carp one mile. Winners are recognized in age brackets for both the 10 Mile and the 5K. The awards ceremony is set to begin between 11:00 and 11:15 at Drifa Brewing Company. Proceeds will be donated to CampUPeninsulin, a summer camp for youth with Type 1 Diabetes from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
