Day of the Tread 4K Walk
The Day of the Tread 4K Fun Walk is an annual community walk presented by SUNWARD and scheduled for 10/24/26 and 10/25/26. The event benefits New Mexico non-profits and specifically supports Tread Setters Adaptive Cycling, a program of the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation.
The route passes through Albuquerque Old Town and the Sawmill District with the start and finish on 20th St NW. Walkers move through areas associated with the Old Town Dia de Los Muertos celebration, and entertainment along the route includes live music and spirit squads.
A costume contest is part of the event program, and all walkers receive the official Day of the Tread t-shirt. The description of the event identifies it as a 4K walk and highlights community and charitable support as core elements.
Practical details such as registration and volunteer information are provided by the event organizers. The walk is presented as a recurring activity connected to the larger Day of the Tread event offerings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
