Day of the Dead - Day 1 and Day 2 (October 24–25, 2026)
The Day of the Dead Series takes place over two days at the South End Trail Head of La Llorona Park in Las Cruces, NM. Events are held on a fast, flat, paved course with a crushed gravel lane alongside. The course is USATF certified and described as Boston qualifying.
Aid stations include an extensive selection of food and beverages, a table for personal water bottles with refill on request, and a Super Aid Station passed multiple times on longer loops. Walkers are welcome and the event follows a no runner left behind policy so staff remain until the final finisher crosses.
Packet pickup and in-person registration are available the day before and on race days at the La Llorona South End Trailhead. An early start option is offered for half marathon distances and above; participants using an early start must bring a flashlight and should note that some aid stations may not yet be open. Pets are not allowed; strollers are permitted.
Every participant receives a T-shirt. All finishers receive a unique finisher medal for each day. Participants completing back-to-back 50K, 100K, or 100-mile events receive a Day of the Dead belt buckle and medal.
