Event overview
Day of the Dead - Day 1 and Day 2 takes place October 24-25, 2026, at La Llorona Park, West Picacho Avenue, Las Cruces, NM. The event is managed by Wanderlust Running Unlimited. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 23 at La Llorona Park and on race mornings at the South End of La Llorona Park. Participants receive one t-shirt and a unique finisher's medal for each day completed. Registering for Day 1 provides a code for 10% off a Day 2 registration.

The start location is the South End of La Llorona Park. The course is USATF certified and noted as a Boston qualifying course. It is described as flat and paved with a crushed gravel lane alongside. The course layout includes a 1.1 mile out-and-back segment and a Super Aid Station that is passed multiple times. An optional early start is available for races of Half Marathon distance and longer. Parking and a new start location are described as being less than 5 miles from the main La Llorona Park area, with signage marking the parking lot entrance.
