Event details

The Dawg Gone Long Run 50k/50 Miler takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Waynesville, Ohio at Caesar Creek State Park Visitor Center (4020 N. Clarksville Road). The event offers the following distances:

  • 50 Mile Ultra
  • 50k Ultra

Cutoffs are extended to 15 hours for both events. Packet pickup is available the night before at the shelter by the Visitor Center and there is additional packet pickup on race morning. Parking is at the Visitor Center.

Course, aid and race rules

Both events use a looped trail course that combines the Perimeter (Yellow) Trail, the Cove (Red) Trail, the Peninsula (Green) Trail, and the Fifty Springs Loop (Orange). The 50-mile distance is three counterclockwise loops with a slight variation at the end of each loop. The 50k is two counterclockwise loops. The course is mainly single-track around Caesar Creek lake south of SR 73, with the largest hill about 80 feet and frequent rolling elevation changes.

This is a cupless race: there will be no cups at any aid stations. A collapsible cup is available for purchase for $4; runners are asked to carry a reusable cup plus a water bottle or hydration pack. Two manned aid stations are listed: the Visitor Center start/finish and the Buckeye Way Shelter on the Fifty Springs loop. Unmanned stations provide water only. Drop bags are available only at the Visitor Center aid station. Switching from the 50-mile to the 50k is allowed during the event; runners should notify race staff if they change distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
