David Bruce Race for the Record & Predict a Mile
This event takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Highland Park, 900 Defenbaugh St, Kokomo, IN 46902. Race day registration and bib pickup are available the morning of the event between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m.
There are two separate one mile contests:
- Race for the Record - 1 mile
- Predict a Mile - 1 mile
Race for the Record is a one mile run or walk intended for attempts at a CKRR age group record. Participants may register as a runner or a walker; those registered as walkers must walk the entire event, while those registered as runners may run or walk. Race fee is $5 until race day and $10 on race day. Club Kokomo Roadrunner members earn CKRR points for this event.
Predict a Mile follows Race for the Record and is scheduled to start after that race; exact timing may change based on the Race for the Record finish. Entry for Predict a Mile is free. At bib pickup participants state a predicted one mile finish time. During the attempt no timing or pacing technology is allowed, including watches and music. The participant whose finish time is closest to their prediction wins. Predict a Mile does not award CKRR points. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
