David Bruce Race for the Record & Predict a Mile
The event consists of two separate one mile events held at Highland Park in Kokomo, Indiana. Both events cover 1 Mile and take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Race day registration and bib pickup occur from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the park.
Race for the Record is a one mile run or walk with a $5 entry fee. Participants who register as runners may run or walk during the event; participants who register as walkers must walk the entire course. Club Kokomo Roadrunner members can earn CKRR points for this event.
Predict a Mile is a one mile event with no entry fee. Participants record a predicted finish time during bib pickup and must complete the mile without timing or pacing aids, including watches and music. The winner is the runner or walker whose finish time is closest to their predicted time. CKRR points are not awarded for Predict a Mile.
Registration for the events opens April 26, 2026. Race for the Record registration closes June 5, 2026. Predict a Mile registration closes on June 6, 2026, shortly before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
