Daufuskie Island Marathon
The Daufuskie Island Marathon takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Haig Point on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. The event is presented by Palmetto Running Company and is held on a USATF certified course. Distances offered:

Course, event features and logistics
The marathon uses the half-marathon loop twice. The route runs through Haig Point, Freeport, Church Road, and returns along the beach. Parts of the course include paved and unpaved roads.
The event is an all-inclusive format on the island. Runners are greeted with coffee, cinnamon rolls, and pre-race entertainment under a heated event canopy. After the race, a catered picnic lunch and a selection of beverages are provided, including beer for those of legal drinking age. Registered runners receive event swag and a finisher medal; medal engraving of finishing times is available at the village after party. Overall and age-group awards are given for the top three male and female finishers of each distance.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, January 16, 2026, at Palmetto Running Company, Shelter Cove Lane, Hilton Head, SC. A ferry pass to reach Daufuskie Island is not included in race registration and must be purchased separately. The event lists the Daufuskie Island Conservancy as a beneficiary.
