About the race
AXO is organizing the Dash for DVA 5K walk/run on the Western Carolina University campus on October 25, 2026. The event raises funds for domestic violence awareness, with all proceeds directed to the Center for Domestic Peace domestic violence shelter to support survivors.
The course uses an approved on-campus route. The start is at the Blue Ridge / Balsam arch and the finish is at the catafount. Check-in and bib pick-up are located at the catafount. A clock at the finish will display times so participants can track their results, and the organizer will record the first three male and female finishers.
Registration opens October 1, 2026 and closes October 25, 2026. The registration fee is $15.00. The event distance is 3.1 Miles. Donations for the cause are accepted through the event website. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
