Dash for Dad
Dash for Dad is a community run and walk on June 19, 2027, held at Lake Hawkins in Hawkins, Texas. The event is hosted by Amancio’s Athletics and takes place at 156 County Road 3455, Hawkins, TX 75765.
The event was created in memory of a father who died after a battle with cancer. It focuses on honoring fathers and father figures, bringing the community together, and encouraging movement and healthier habits.
The course loops around Lake Hawkins and is described as scenic, well marked, and supported by volunteers. The 5K and 10K distances are timed. Entry fees include parking at the Lake Hawkins beach area. After the event, attendees may remain at the lake for swimming and relaxation.

- 1 Mile Dash: a short family run/walk for kids and casual participants.
- 5K Run: a timed 5K around Lake Hawkins open to all ages.
- 10K Run: a timed 10K for runners seeking a longer distance.
