Dartmouth Natal Day Road Races
The Dartmouth Natal Day Road Races, held continuously since 1907 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, are among North America's oldest running events. The races feature 2-mile and 6-mile distances on a 2-mile course through historic downtown Dartmouth, starting and finishing in front of the 250-year-old Christ Church on Ochterloney Street. The event attracts elite runners as well as families, fostering a welcoming, multi-generational atmosphere.
It is an affordable, community-focused race that coincides with the Natal Day festival, including a parade near the finish line. Organized by the Dartmouth Natal Day Road Race Association, the race supports local food-security charities and benefits from municipal support.
